My office is located at 681 Lawlings Road, Unit 195, Suite 4, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Just off NJ-208. This location is within close proximity to Bergen, Passaic, and Rockland counties and a 45 min drive from NYC. Parking in the adjacent parking lot is free of charge and is always available.

Virtual therapy is provided via a HIPPA-compliant platform and requires a stable internet connection. Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in person therapy. It is ideal for busy professionals, out of state clients and individuals with mobility issues and other disabilities. However, it isn’t for everyone. Virtual therapy isn’t recommended for individuals with attention/focus difficulties and acute psychiatric conditions.

I am in network with major insurance providers. Please contact me to determine your coverage and copayments, if applicable. All insurance claims are electronically submitted to your insurance by an online claims’ processor.

My professional fee is $150 for a 45 minute session and $175 for a 60 minute session.

Yes, I specialize in couples therapy and provide family therapy as well. In addition to graduate level training and post graduate experience in couples counseling, I have completed a specialized program in Emotionally Focus Therapy for Couples conducted by ICEEFT Certified Trainers.

My style is eclectic. I avoid a cookie cutter one size fits all model and integrate different modalities in my practice tailored to my clients’ needs. My theoretical orientation is psychodynamic and humanistic which means that that I believe in the importance of personal growth and self-actualization. I strive to help my clients discover who they are and what is aligned with their authentic expression of self.

Although I don’t believe in having “ideal clients”, I certainly have a good idea who is a good fit for the type of therapy I provide. My clients are intelligent, self-motivated and curious about themselves and the world around them. They seek therapy not just to discuss their issues, but to generate change within.

During initial phone consultation, we will briefly discuss your goals and issues you are facing as well as logistics of receiving therapy (schedule, availability, frequency, etc.). However, it is usually during the intake session that we decide if we are good fit for one another.

My intake session is 45 minutes to an hour. During this session, I will collect demographic data, explore your history and background and begin formulating a treatment plan based on your goals and preferences. I will also answer questions and address any concerns about therapy and working with me you may have.

Duration of therapy is highly dependent on your individual needs and issues you would like to address and your motivation for change. Some clients require as few as 5-10 sessions to begin addressing their issues on their own. However, I find that most of my clients are in therapy with me for 6 months to a year on average. Please keep in mind that it is my goal to empower you with tools and self-care practices you integrate in your life to ensure you are reaching your potential and functioning independently, with or without therapy. I don’t believe being in therapy longer is necessarily better. I think we can all benefit from therapy in times of difficulties, when facing high stress situations, relationship issues and existential crises. My hope , though, is that you will walk into my office one day and say “I am doing great actually, I am not sure I need therapy anymore”. This is music to my ears. It means that I have done my very best as a therapist for you to feel self-sufficient and independent.

As stated in my consent form, I have a cancelation policy related to canceling and rescheduling your sessions. Although I recognize that emergencies happen and outside of our control, I require 24-hour cancelation for all sessions in order to offer your slot to another client. Any cancelations outside of this window are subject to $100 cancelation fee.
